Silent Movie Post

Your silent movie post assignment is to watch a movie from one of these three silent movie greats. Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, Harrold Lloyd, Douglas Fairbanks, or Mary Pickford. Discuss the acting and directing style of these silent greats, how these movies have changed over time, within their Genre and compare to a current movie. Silent Movies to select from include:

The Thief of Bagdad

I've posted links to some of the original movies by Edison, Porter, Lumiere Bros, and Melies below. Take a look at the first movies and link to some of the other's available on youtube. Please post responses to any of these movies.

Movie Memory Assignment: A short (2-3 paragraphs) reflection on a key movie going or watching experiences that you remember when you were younger. Whether it was seeing a movie with your family, friends, or even by yourself, where you realized the power of the movie going experience. Please respond to this post by Tuesday's class, May 19th.
